Levator Scapulae Stretch

The levator scapaule muscle is one of the most common muscle strains we see in our office.  It is common to people that work at computers for a living and individuals under stress (is it no wonder we see this a lot!)

How to do it

Sitting tall in your chair, grasp the back edge of your chair with the hand of the side to be stretched.

With the other hand reach over your head and pull the skull to accentuate the stretch in the base of the skull.
Once there is a nice comfortable pull in the base of the skull, lean your body in the opposite direction to the area being stretched.
