athlete of the month: darin bentley

Darin Bentley is a Surrey firefighter but he is also a super man.
He participated in Ultraman Canada 2006. In 3 days he completed an incredible 512.6km race. This race consists of a 10km swim, a 418.3 km bike and a 84.3 km run. Darin won the event with an amazing 23 hour finish with his closest competitor being more than 4 hours behind him!
This year Darin did Ironman Canada in 9 hours and 45 minutes and then 2 weeks later represented Canada in a 100km World Champion Run race in Holland. Amazingly, Darin was the first Canadian to cross the finish line.
