Common condition (as seen in office)
Pectoralis Tightness
Often related to computer work and a lack of stretching.
Some people with tight pectoral muscles will complain of numbness into their fingers.
Treatment:
ART, more computer breaks and the Pectoralis stretch

Single arm
Stand level in a doorway or wall and raise one arm as if to wave. Place forearm along door jam placing the elbow approximately at shoulder height. If the right arm is raised, step the right foot forward (the left foot if the left arm is raised), with the feet shoulder width apart, bend front knee. Gently lean chest straight forward to feel a stretch in the front of the chest.

Bilateral arms
Facing standing in a doorway. Place forearms on each wall at shoulder height. Slowly lean chest forward into doorway, keeping upper body tall, to feel a stretch in the front of the chest. |
